ESM 480 Coastal Marine Ecology
Introduces the relationships between marine species and their environment, intra- and inter-specific
interactions, and factors structuring marine communities. Community structure and distribution
presented in the context of both oceanography and coastal zone ecology. Marine conservation issues, including fisheries, addressed. A field trip required. Also offered for graduate-level credit as ESM 580 and may be taken only once for credit. Recommended prerequisite: ESM 321.
