Permanent Transcript Notation (Hazing , Sexual Violence and Other Serious Violations)
Students that are found responsible and suspended or expelled/dismissed for serious violations of the Students Rights and Responsibilities may receive a permanent notation on their academic transcript. This includes, but is not restricted to, sexual assault, hazing, and conduct leading to the death or serious physical injury of another person.
Students found responsible for such violations will not receive credit for the semester in which they are suspended or expelled/dismissed and will be liable for all tuition and fees for that semester.
For a respondent who withdraws from the institution while such conduct charges are pending, institutions shall make a notation on the transcript of such students that they "withdrew with conduct charges pending." If a finding of responsibility is vacated for any reason, any such transcript notation shall be removed.
Individuals seeking to have a transcript notation removed may submit a written appeal, no sooner than one year after the conclusion of their suspension, to the Director of Student Conduct. The decision will be made in consultation with the Vice President of Student Affairs (or their designee). The appeal must include a rationale for removing the notation, evidence of rehabilitation during the period of suspension, and confirmation that any other sanctions have been successfully completed.
Transcript notations resulting from an expulsion/dismissal from the University are permanent and cannot be appealed. If a finding of responsibility is vacated for any reason, the transcript notation will be removed.
