Teacher Certification in Science Secondary Level

Students desiring to certify to teach Biology in a public school at the secondary level will complete the Science secondary composite, requiring a B.S. degree in Biology.

Degree Requirements

Academic Core

includes Bachelor of Science Academic Core plus EDUC 2311; certain core requirements must be fulfilled by specific courses; see degree plan for details.

GEOL 1401, GEOL 1402, and PHYS 2411 satisfy the laboratory sciences block in the core curriculum.  PHYS 2412 satisfies the Scientific Inquiry/Natural Science block in the core curriculum.
