Withdrawal from a Program

Official Withdrawal

Students who wish to withdraw from their program should contact their appropriate Academic administrator (Dean of Program Chair). West Coast University is required to take attendance and therefore a student’s withdrawal date is the last date of attendance as determined by the school from its attendance records. All requests for withdrawal should be submitted in writing using the Course/University withdrawal form with all applicable signatures. The Course/University form should be returned to the Registrar’s office.

Unofficial Withdrawal

Students who cease to attend classes without notifying the University of their intent to cease attendance are considered to have unofficially withdrawn from the University.  West Coast University is required to take attendance and, therefore, a student's withdrawal date is the last date of attendance as determined by the school from its attendance records.  Class attendance is monitored to identify absences in excess of the published absence policy for each academic program.
