OCC 641 Preparation for Practice: I - Child and Adolescent (Fieldwork I-C)

Students will complete three (3) Level I fieldwork experiences throughout the educational program: One with children and adolescents; one with adults; and one with the older adult. Students must complete a Level I fieldwork experience in a mental health setting and one in a physical rehabilitation setting. One week (30 hours) each trimester in trimesters two (2), three (3), and four (4) is designated as the Level I fieldwork week on the academic calendar.

Foundational knowledge, previous life/professional experiences, and new academic learning applied to fieldwork and community engagements to meet the needs of clients in various contexts and cultures reflecting ethical practice. Students will be able to observe evaluations and interventions performed on the older adult with a variety of diagnosis in medical or educational settings. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include face-to-face.
