CMHC 545 Career and Lifestyle Assessment
This course provides an overview of the major career development theories and decision-making models, occupational educational information sources and systems, assessment instruments and techniques relevant to career planning and decision making, career, lifestyle, and leisure, guidance and education, career development program planning, resources, and effectiveness evaluation. The impact of cultural and diversity issues and the counselor’s personal perspective on ultimate career and educational choices will also be explored, as will the relationships among and between work, family, and other life roles, and other influential factors such as job maintenance, advancement, retirement, job-loss, and secondary career status. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include online, blended, and face to face modalities.
