CSC 412 Networking

Prerequisite: CSC 236

The study of networks is the study of modern computing. Specifically, it is the study of the protocols (theory) and implementation of software (practice) for computer networks that allow one computer to talk to another, whether it is over a wired or wireless connection. Topics include directly connected links, common wired topologies, correctness and error-correcting codes, security, and data compression and power management in the context of modern wireless computing.
