Approaching Hour Limit Notification for Fall and Spring Contracts
A student worker and their respective labor supervisor and academic adviser will receive email notifications when the student has worked 5 or more hours beyond the pay period target for the position. The student’s labor position will be frozen once the student has worked the maximum hours allocated for the position – see details below.
Students will receive the following notification for Fall and Spring Terms

- WARNING- You are approaching the hour limit for a primary or secondary position
- YOUR LABOR POSITION HAS NOW BEEN FROZEN
Body of the Warning Notification
You have worked 5 or more hours beyond the pay period target for a position(s) (see attached report for details). Once you reach the maximum allocated for the position you will no longer be able to clock-in or submit hours. The chart below lists the maximum hours allocated for the 6 supported hourly positions:

Your labor position has been frozen based on your working at or beyond the maximum hours allocated for the position (see attached report for details). For the rest of the term you will not be allowed to work in the position or submit additional hours. This applies only to the present fall or spring term. If this position continues into the spring term you will be able to resume working in the position at the start of the term. Contact your labor supervisor if you have any questions.

Body of the Working Near Hour Limit Notification
Based on the hours reported to date one or more of your student workers has worked 5 or more hours beyond the pay period target for a position (see attached report for details). Once the student works the maximum hours allocated for the position the student will no longer be able to clock-in or submit hours. The chart below lists the maximum hours allocated for the 6 supported hourly positions.
