ITAL 88 Senior Independent Reading and Research

A program of individual study directed by a member of the staff. Open only to senior Italian, Italian Studies, and Romance Language (whose primary language is Italian) Majors. A proposal, signed by the faculty advisor, must be submitted to the Departmental Committee on Independent Studies and Honors Theses for approval by the fifth day of classes of the term.

Students are awarded one course credit for successful completion of this course at the end of the third term of study. Students subsequently register for ITAL-089 and continue with their coursework into a third term.  Students do not register for a third term. A final grade will replace the “ON” for both ITAL-089 and this course upon completion of this course at the end of the third term of coursework.
