Health (K-12) Add-on

Requirements

For students majoring in physical education wishing to obtain a health certification add-on, an additional 15 credits of coursework are required in conjunction with the physical education requirements.

The additional courses include:

SOC 31500	Alcohol, Drugs, and Society	3
PSY 22000	Health Psychology	3
PSY 36500	Human Sexuality	3
HFS 30000	Community Health	3
EDU 27500	Secondary Methods in Health Education	3

Health Add-on Requirements for non-PE Majors

Any non-PE majors seeking the health add-on must complete the courses listed above as well as 14 credit hours of coursework selected from among the following options:

HFS 20000	Health and Nutrition	4
HFS 31000	Kinesiology of Physical Education	3
EXS 31500	Physiology of Exercise	3
HFS 20700	Human Anatomy and Physiology	4
	Or
BSC 22700	Human Anatomy and Physiology I	4
	And
BSC 22800	Human Anatomy and Physiology II	4

Students may only select HFS 20700 or BSC 22700.
