PHL 37000 Philosophy of Mind

GE-Human Culture: Philosophy (GE-HumCul:Phl) This course in an introduction to the philosophy of mind.  The course will explore the nature of the mind, its relation to the brain, and the nature of thought.  It will cover some of the major topics in the field, such as Mind-Brain Identity, Dualism, Hylomorphism, Behaviorism, Functionalism, Eliminativism, Consciousness, Artificial Intelligence, and Reductionism.  Only original sources used.
