ARTH 55300 Eighteenth Century Art

This graduate course presents an in-depth analysis of the major artistic developments in European art from the beginning of the eighteenth century to the eve of the French Revolution. Students will investigate major historical, philosophical, and social movements that impacted artistic production during this period. They will also become familiar with major artists and works fundamental to the development of Rococo and Neo-Classical art through case studies. This class may require the use of a virtual reality headset identified by the instructor.
