4.3 Clinical Training
During the first year of training, students complete 7 credits of clinical observation and practicum under the supervision of clinical audiologists at Mass Eye and Ear (MEE) and in the audiology clinic on the IHP campus. In the second year, students complete 9 credits of internship (3 per semester) at partner clinics in the Boston area (e.g., MEE, Boston Children’s, Boston VA). Students will earn ~720 clinical clock hours through successful completion of these clinical assignments. Student performance in all clinical practica and internships is assessed using a letter grading system based on benchmarks specific to the level of expected clinical progress.
