5.1 Transfer Policy
Students may transfer a maximum of twelve (12) credit hours of graduate-level AuD coursework if the courses were completed at a CAA accredited AuD program and the student obtained a grade of B- or better in the courses transferred. To be eligible for transfer of credits, the courses must have been taken at the graduate level, the Program Director and AuD faculty must approve the transfer, and the courses must NOT have been taken as part of another degree requirement.
The student should speak with their Academic Advisor first to determine if a course can be transferred. Students must provide course syllabi, transcripts, and any other requested documentation with their Petition for Course Replacement form (www.mghihp.edu/petition-course-replacement-form). Transfer credits are not calculated into the graduate GPA. On the recommendation of faculty, the advisor may also require that the student attend (without having to register for the course) the equivalent MGH IHP AuD course even though transfer credit for a similar course taken elsewhere was awarded.
Students may also transfer up to 150 hours of supervised clinical experience if the hours were supervised by audiologists holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association, the training was provided during graduate level training, and the student received a grade of B- or better (or pass in a pass/fail grading system). The student must provide a record of the clock hours and grades verified by the AuD Clinical Director of the accredited program.
