a. Professional Leave
A faculty member may apply for a professional leave of absence for career-related activities or academic study, for a period of up to one year. During a professional leave, faculty members will not receive compensation and benefits from the MGH Institute. A professional leave must be approved by the department chair, director, or dean and the provost. The faculty member is entitled to an equivalent assignment upon return without loss of seniority.
