MTH 100 Introductory and Intermediate Algebra

This course covers the principles of basic and intermediate algebra, with a focus on logical reasoning, problem solving, and development of quantitative thinking skills. It emphasizes the connections between verbal, numeric, symbolic, and approaches to problems. Students study linear equations and inequalities in one variable; literal equations; systems of equations, in two variables; polynomials; quadratic functions; factoring techniques; and simplification of expressions involving integer exponents and radicals.
