BDA 510 Emerging Topics in Business Data Analytics I
Students explore business data analytics from a managerial perspective to understand data’s influence on an organization’s activities related to business intelligence decision-making, human resource management, and operations analytics by examining real-world cases. Topics will include data warehousing, data integration, business intelligence, data mining, and visualization to convey results and strategies to various audiences. Students will learn about using business data analytics to predict and model outcomes to optimize an organization’s value chain across functional areas during uncertainty in an ever-changing global environment. Prerequisite(s): BDA500, RES510, BDA502, BDA505, BDA506, BDA507, and BDA509; or permission of Program Chair or designate. Co-requisite(s): None. 3 semester hours
