Recognition of Academic Achievement
Academic Excellence
Each quarter National Louis University recognizes undergraduate students at the Certificate, Associates, and Bachelor level whose grades reflect academic excellence. All undergraduate Associate and Bachelor students enrolled at full time status, defined as enrollment in at least twelve (12) credit hours and whose quarter grade point average is 3.75 or higher, will be awarded Academic Excellence. Certificate students enrolled in a program that is greater than one-term in length and at least 24 quarter hours in total may be enrolled at a full time or part time status but must earn a quarter grade point average of 3.75 or higher to be awarded Academic Excellence. These students will be recognized quarterly by the college dean or designee.
Graduation Honors
National Louis University recognizes the academic achievement of undergraduate students completing their degree by awarding the following recognition:
Graduation with Honors
Undergraduate students who meet the following criteria will be recognized with “Graduation with Honors"
- A cumulative undergraduate level grade point average (GPA) of all coursework taken at NLU of a 3.7-3.99
- A minimum of 90 Quarter Hours completed at National Louis University for students obtaining a Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.)
- A minimum of 45 Quarter Hours completed at National Louis University for students obtaining an Associate’s degree (A.A.S.)
Graduation with High Honors
Undergraduate students who meet the following criteria will be recognized with “Graduation with High Honors”
- A cumulative undergraduate level grade point average (GPA) of all coursework taken at NLU of a 4.0
- A minimum of 90 Quarter Hours completed at National Louis University for students obtaining a Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.)
- A minimum of 45 Quarter Hours completed at National Louis University for students obtaining an Associate’s degree (A.A.S.)
