Soc 426 Women and Mental Illness
Social and historical evolution of images and explanations of madness in women. Contemporary distributions, diagnoses, and treatments of mental illness in diverse groups of women are examined. Focus on psychiatric disorder and gender-based discourse. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Soc 526 and may be taken only once for credit.
