Fin 573 Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management
A study of the application of both portfolio theory and fundamental valuation techniques in security investment decisions. Students in this course serve as portfolio managers to a real dollar portfolio, providing security and sector oversight to the portfolio. The implications of modern portfolio theory for portfolio management and in portfolio performance evaluation are emphasized. This is the first class in a strongly recommended two-course sequence. Offered fall, winter, and spring terms. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as Fin 574 and may be taken only once for credit.
