G 420 Applied Geophysics
Principles of geophysical measurement and interpretation; seismology, gravimetry, isostasy, geomagnetism, terrestrial electricity. Includes a survey of geophysical exploration techniques. Three lectures, one 2-hour lab. Also offered for graduate-level credit as G 520 and may be taken only once for credit.
Prerequisite
one year of general physics, one year of calculus.
