MATH 113 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers II

A continuation of MATH 112. Topics include algebraic and functional reasoning, graphing, coordinate geometry, the geometry of shapes, measurements, transformations and symmetry, congruence and similarity, descriptive statistics, and an introduction to probability. Emphasizes constructing concrete models for these concepts and lab work is required. This course does not apply towards a major or minor in mathematics, but it does apply towards the general studies requirement for the baccalaureate degree and the minor in mathematics for middle school teachers. Offered odd years.
