PTAP-214 Clinical Education II
This course consists of a clinical experience at one clinical site. The students will have the opportunity to apply skills and knowledge developed in previous coursework in the technical program.
Notes
Students are required to provide their own transportation to and from the varied clinical sites. Students must also be available for a clinical schedule that may include, but is not limited to extended hours, alternate days, evenings, and/or weekends. The clinical schedule listed is a representation of one of the possible scheduling options.

Course Objectives
- 1. Apply the skills and knowledge gained in the areas of anatomy, pathology, kinesiology, patient
care fundaments, orthopedics, and modalities to a patient population under the supervision of a
clinical instructor. - 2. Explain organizational hierarchy and a typical work day in a clinical setting.
- 3. Perform technical skills in a clinical setting.
- 4. Continue to develop an awareness of clinical decision-making and start to apply that
knowledge under the guidance of the clinical instructor. - 5. Evaluate patient progression.
