Course Description
Students examine the current issues in philosophy, specifically those related to technology. The relationship between machines and humans, problems in determining ethical standards in virtual reality, gender/race and cyberspace, and the role of power in knowledge and technological advances are topics of analysis and discussion. Students recognize the importance of critical awareness in the fast-changing world of the twenty-first century.
