ECE524 Fundamentals of Public Relations and Grant Writing
This course introduces the fundamentals of promoting and maintaining a positive public image in the community to prospective supporters, donors, and clients. It provides methods for conducting ongoing needs assessment, an overview of potential revenue sources, and effective fundraising strategies. Students will learn to develop short- and long-term fundraising goals as they relate to a program's mission and philosophy, and will learn components of an effective grant proposal. Included are opportunities for students to gain proficiency in using public relations, grant writing, and technological skills in their respective roles in different educational organizations.
