407 Spanish for Educators
This course will focus on linguistic Academic Spanish and teaching strategies to support bilingual Spanish speakers. Topics that will be explored include using vocabulary in specific content areas (e.g., Social Studies, Science, Mathematics, etc.) as well as Spanish language proficiency (e.g., phonic awareness, acentos, grammar) and literatura latinoamericana, and other strategies related to becoming a bilingual educator. The frameworks and standards presented in this course will include the 5Cs (Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities).
