CCNA 099 Accelerate U CCNA Orientation

This course serves as the initial step of orientation in to the CCNA certificate program with Accelerate U. Students will be introduced to the structure of the program, student expectations and supports, and academic policies. Students will also prepare their online tools in order to have a strong start in an accelerated program. After completing this course, students will attend an in-person orientation for the program.

CCNA 210 Introduction to Networking and Information Security

This course introduces students to essential terminology, concepts, principles, and practices of networking and information security. Students focus on technical components for building, managing, and maintaining secure systems through client/server application software configurations, basic IP addressing, and network connectivity. The integrated lab component of the course gives students hands-on exposure to networking and information security practices. Pre-requisite(s): None. Co-requisite(s): None. 5 quarter hours

CCNA 302 Switching, Routing, and Wireless Fundamentals

This course describes the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a small network. Students learn how to configure a router and a switch for basic functionality. By the end of this course, students will be able to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues with virtual LANs and inter- VLAN routing in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. The integrated lab component of the course gives students hands-on exposure to networking and information security practices. Pre-requisite(s): None. Co-requisite(s): None. 5 quarter hours

CCNA 405 Connecting Networks

This course covers the WAN technologies and network services required by converged applications in a complex network. The course enables students to understand the selection criteria of network devices and WAN technologies to meet network requirements. By the end of this course, students will be able to: configure and troubleshoot network devices; resolve common issues with data link protocols; resolve common issues with OSPF, EIGRP, and STP in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks; implement virtual private network (VPN) operations in a complex network. The course includes activities using Packet Tracer, hands-on lab work, and a wide array of assessment types and tools. Pre-requisite(s): CCNA 210 and CCNA 302. Co-requisite(s): None. 5 quarter hours

CCNA 410 IT Support and CCNA Prep

This course prepares students to enter into entry level IT support and networking careers by building skills around managing tickets, troubleshooting, escalating, and providing excellent customer service - all while applying knowledge gained in previous CCNA courses. In addition, students will rigorously prepare for the CCNA exam by taking practice tests, analyzing their results, and creating and following individualized study plans. Students will also learn a variety of test taking and studying strategies in preparation for the CCNA certification exam. Pre-requisite(s): CCNA 210 and CCNA 302. Co-requisite(s): None. 5 quarter hours
