ITSS 100 IT Essentials: Hardware and Device Management

Students will gain foundational knowledge and hands-on skills in computer hardware, mobile devices, and components. Through practical labs and resources, they will learn to disassemble, reassemble, install, configure, and test various computer parts. Students will effectively resolve hardware issues, both independently and collaboratively, while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Additionally, students will begin to develop the following durable skills to provide excellent customer service - problem-solving, collaboration, reliability, confidence, and social awareness.

ITSS 110 IT Essentials: Networking, Infrastructure and Cloud Computing

This course covers essential competencies focusing on network support, mobile devices, printers, and Microsoft Windows workstations. Through lab activities, students will learn networking fundamentals, infrastructure, and cloud computing. They will also gain expertise in supporting mobile OS, installing printers, and maintaining Windows OS. The course supports the development of help desk skills including documentation, trouble ticketing, and change management. Additionally, students will continue to develop the following durable skills to provide excellent customer service - problem-solving, collaboration, reliability, confidence, and social awareness.

ITSS 200 IT Essentials: Operating System Support & Cybersecurity

This course covers essential skills needed for troubleshooting Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS and Linux OS, implementing cybersecurity strategies. Through lab activities, students learn Windows troubleshooting, malware detection and mitigation. Additionally, the course covers scripting fundamentals and introduces AI concepts, tools, business applications, and ethical considerations. Students will continue to develop the following durable skills to provide excellent customer service - problem-solving, collaboration, reliability, confidence, and social awareness.

ITSS 210 IT Essentials: IT Support Specialist Capstone

The capstone course offers a comprehensive exploration of IT support roles in today's global work environments. The course concludes with real-world technical projects, allowing students to apply their skills to real-world challenges, prepare for success in the professional IT environment, and gain insight into the IT career landscape. Through these learning activities, students will apply the following durable skills to provide excellent customer service - problem-solving, collaboration, reliability, confidence, and social awareness. Students will prepare for the CompTIA A+ certification exam by reviewing exam objectives, practicing with mock exams, and sitting for the official exams.
