Smart Classrooms, Seminar Rooms, and Carts
Smart classrooms contain A/V technology to assist with classroom instruction. Smart rooms contain an instructor station with a computer with network and internet access, DVD/VCR, digital projector, screen, overhead projector, and program audio sound reinforcement. Some smart classrooms also contain a document camera and CD player. Smart classrooms are located in Buckley Center rooms 019, 102, 108, 110, 111, 112, 205, 206, 207, 209, 307, 310, 314, and auditorium; Franz Hall rooms 005, 006, 015, 018, 025, 026, 030, 033, 034, 038, 106, 108, 128, 205, 206, 210, 212, 214, 217, 222, 223, 227, 229, 231, and 234; Mago Hunt Recital Hall and Theater; Romanaggi Hall room 203; and Shiley Hall rooms 101, 123, 124, 301, and 319. These rooms can all be used for instructor lectures and student presentations. As a result of high demand for these rooms, information services continually adds more smart classrooms. By request, non-mediated classrooms can also be equipped with a smart cart on a first-come, first-served basis. There are six smart carts, each containing a laptop computer, DVD/VCR player, video projector and sound system.
