RADT 294 CT Clinical Practicum II

In this course, students will expand previously acquired CT procedures and patient care skills with emphasis on critical thinking, pathology specific CT procedures, CT angiography, 3D CT, and rendering techniques. Students will continue to perform and document CT procedures competencies to fulfill the minimum number of clinical procedures to establish eligibility for the ARRT certification examination. At the end of this course, if a student is unable to gather the minimum requirement of CT procedures, he/she will retake this course as a requirement for the certification from HCC and to establish eligibility for the ARRT certification examination.

Course Objectives

  1. 1. Produce diagnostic quality CT images and critique their images.
  2. 2. Exhibit critical thinking skills to perform pathology-specific CT procedures.
  3. 3. Perform special CT procedures such as CT angiography, and perform 3D post-processing and rendering techniques to enhance diagnostic quality of CT images.
  4. 4. Identify common pathology on CT images.
