Course Description

This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the International Classification of Disease (ICD-10-CM) coding system. Students learn the guidelines and terminology for correctly coding diagnoses in a physician's office, hospital, home healthcare agency, or other healthcare facility diagnosis codes. Challenging practice drills test students' coding skills in a variety of realistic healthcare settings using real-life patient health records.
