Disability, Accessibility, and Accommodations

The MGH Institute of Health Professions views disability as an important aspect of diversity and is committed to providing equitable access to learning opportunities for all students. Accessibility Resources is the campus office that collaborates with students and faculty to provide and/or necessary accommodations for students who have documented disabilities.

Candidates who have, or think they may have, a disability in any area such as attention, learning, chronic health, sensory, mental health, physical, or a temporary medical condition which impacts their ability to access learning activities, are encouraged to contact the Accessibility Resources or Luella Benn, Director of Accessibility Resources and Wellness to arrange a confidential discussion.

All students will be held to the same standards and must be able to meet the essential requirements and perform essential skills of their positions with or without reasonable accommodations. The School of Nursing is unable to make accommodations that impose an undue burden, present a threat to the health or safety of the individual or others, or fundamentally alters the nature of the curriculum including didactic component, laboratory sessions and clinical experiences.
