LAP 200 Psychology of Development in the Infant/Toddler Years

The course emphasizes theory and research related to the development in the first three years of life. Observations of infants and toddlers and their relationship to developmental expectations are discussed. Care giving, infant and toddler needs, and individual differences in family, hospital, and day care settings are examined. Developmental assessments and the nurturing of physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of infants and toddlers are explored. (Developmental Psychology; Community Psychology).
