Nursing
The School of Nursing offers doctor of nursing practice (D.N.P.) degree programs. The D.N.P. program has two study options: the post-baccalaureate B.S.N.-D.N.P.- family nurse practitioner (F.N.P.) program of study and the post-master’s N.P.-D.N.P. program of study. Students who enter the D.N.P. program with a bachelor of science in nursing (B.S.N.) or who have a master's degree in nursing, but are not nurse practitioners are admitted to the B.S.N.-D.N.P.- F.N.P. program of study to become family nurse practitioners and earn the D.N.P. degree; students who enter the D.N.P. program as master's-prepared nurse practitioners retain their nurse practitioner specialty and earn the D.N.P. degree. The School of Nursing D.N.P. programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and approved by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
Graduate Degree Requirements
To complete the requirements for a graduate degree in nursing, students must:
- Complete required semester credit hours for the program of study selected.
- Maintain a cumulative grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Earn a grade of B or above in all courses.
- Earn a grade of B- or above in all non-clinical courses.
- Meet end of program outcomes/competencies.
- Successfully complete program specific final project and residency/clinical practica.
- Submit final project manuscript to Pilots Scholars.
- Complete the Portfolio.
