Pet Policy

The only animals allowed in university-owned student housing are fish (total combined tank(s) volume cannot exceed 10 gallons per residence), or approved service animals. Approval for service animals must be pre-authorized through the Disability Support Services Coordinator. Pets are not allowed in any university-owned student housing. This includes pets of visiting family members or friends.

Student Conduct Procedures:
•     A pet is suspected to be living in a student's premises: a 48-hour notice of pet inspection will be given.
If evidence of a pet is found, a $100 fine will be assessed immediately and a notice will be given to
comply with the pet policy within ten days.

•     A pet is seen in a student's premises: A $100 fine will be assessed immediately, and a notice will be
given to comply with the pet policy within ten days. At the end of the ten days, a pet inspection will
take place to verify the removal of the pet.

If a pet, or continued evidence of a pet, is found again ten days after the notice to comply was given, a notice of eviction will be delivered.
