DRA 260 Directing

This course provides an analysis and application of the techniques of theatrical directing. Topics include script selection, analysis, casting, rehearsal planning, blocking, stage business, tempo, and technical considerations. Upon completion, students should be able to plan, execute, and critically discuss a student-directed production. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement.
