5.2 Absences
If a student is unable to attend class, lab, clinic, or an examination, the student must notify the instructor PRIOR to the absence. The student must be able to substantiate a valid reason for the absence such as illness or death in the family. Except in extenuating circumstances, failure to notify the instructor in advance will result in a lowered grade at the discretion of the instructor. It is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements for missed assignments.
