CSS 330 Cloud Computing Architecture
The course introduces cloud architectural models, such as service and deployment models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS; public, private, hybrid), and explores the design of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructures. Building on foundational cloud concepts, students learn to translate business and technical requirements into reference architectures and deployment patterns using modern cloud primitives, including networking, compute, storage, identity, security controls, observability, and automation. The course emphasizes architectural tradeoffs, well-architected thinking, and the disciplined use of patterns to produce cloud systems that meet reliability, performance, and governance constraints.
