PAC 121B Employment Focus
Throughout Employment Development A, each PACE student begins to identify their individual, specific skills strengths and interests as they relate to a specific field of employment and type of job. Students hone these skills and strengths through 18 hours per week of off-campus internship. Students begin to learn how to transfer the professional skills they used in the familiar campus environment to the more challenging environment beyond campus. Students also begin to develop the skills to advocate for themselves and recognize and request the reasonable accommodations they need to be successful working with colleagues and supervisors who are not familiar with PACE or with workers with disabilities.
