The Department of Economics offers graduate work leading to the Master of Science and Master of Arts degrees, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Environmental and Resource Economics.

Environmental and Resource Economics Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Environmental and Resource Economics provides students with an understanding of the critical linkages between economics and key environmental issues. It also offers an introduction to the most important analytical tools, including cost-benefit analysis.

Ec 201 Principles of Microeconomics is a prerequisite for two core courses: Ec 527 Cost-Benefit Analysis and Ec 530 Resource and Environmental Economics. Undergraduate intermediate microeconomics and econometrics are recommended prior to enrollment, but not required.

Completion Requirements

Completion of the program requires a total of 16 graduate credits including the 3 core courses (12 credits) and one additional elective course (4 credits):
