Eng 561 Topics: American Literature to 1900
Study of themes, genres, history, and culture in 19th century American literature: Topics: sentimental literature, immigrant literature, post- Civil War literature, imperial adventures, minority literatures in 19th century American literature. For offerings for a particular term, consult the University schedule, the English Department website and/or an adviser. May be repeated with different topics: maximum of 8 hours to be applied to master's degree. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as Eng 461.

Eng 360 and/or 363 and 4 additional upper division Literature credits.
