Ph 490 Cellular and Molecular Biophysics
An introduction to the physical ideas and methods in the studies of biological phenomena, organization, structure, and function at the cellular and molecular level. Atomic and molecular structures, energy and interacting forces relating to cellular and molecular biophysics will be discussed. This is the first course in a sequence of two: Ph 490 and Ph 491. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Ph 590 and may be taken only once for credit. Recommended prerequisites: Ph 203, Bi 253, and Ch 223. Calculus, previously or concurrently, is recommended.
