SpEd 419 Principles of Special Education
Prepares students entering special education with basic knowledge, skills, and values necessary for future success in their profession. Major overview of theory and research underlying delivery of special education services in the public schools. Intensive study of career planning, graduate writing and research, information systems, current legislation, teaching and learning theory, curricular models, and professional ethics and standards. Also offered for graduate-level credit as SpEd 519 and may be taken only once for credit. Expected preparation(or concurrent enrollment): Psy 311, SpEd 418.
