AST 210 U.S. E. Asian Foreign Pol(PSC)
This course will familiarize students with a basic overview of American foreign policy, and, specifically, with the process and content of United States (US) foreign relations to East Asia. We will examine the development of US foreign policy, especially since WWII, and how foreign policy decisions are often made in the US, as well as in China, Japan, Korea (North and South), and Taiwan. At the end of the course, students should understand the role the US plays in East Asia and how that role is (and always has been) evolving in response to domestic and international influences.
