MICR 142 Cellular and Molecular Basis of Immunity
The main aim of this course is to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the Immune System in Health and Disease. This will be accomplished through an in-depth examination of the following topics: Allergy and Hypersensitivities, Chronic Inflammation and Tolerance, Autoimmunity, Transplantation, Infectious Diseases, Vaccines, Immunodeficiency Diseases, Cancer Immunology, Neuroimmunology, and Basic Immunology Techniques. In addition to lectures, students will review a recent research article related to each week's topic. This will allow for a more practical approach to learning and provide a valuable opportunity for students to delve into current research within the field. Overall, this course will provide an excellent foundation for anyone looking to develop a strong understanding of the immune system and its implications in both health and disease.
