Right of Appeal
The Responding Student has the right to appeal. Appeals will be reviewed based on the following criteria:
- A procedural irregularity
- New evidence that was previously unavailable emerges
- The hearing officer had a conflict of interest or bias
- The sanction is disproportionate with the violation
The appeal must be submitted in writing no later than 5 business days after notification of the decision. Appeals will be reviewed by the Assistant Dean of Students. These appeals should be made in writing, within 5 business days of receipt of the outcome. All decisions made upon an appeal is final.
