EDUC 521 PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING AND LEARNING IN INCLUSIVE CLASSROOMS
Understanding learning, learner similarities and differences in diverse populations; schools and classrooms as complex learning settings. Implementation in the classroom integrates inclusive strategies based upon theory and research in children’s learning, emphasizing education for diverse student needs. Development of knowledge, skills, and dispositions encompass teacher decision-making, student assessment, and situation analysis. Special Education law and ethics are discussed. Action research must be completed during the following school year.
