ELE 447 Methods for Teaching Health and Physical Education

This course provides elementary education Master of Arts in Teaching program candidates the basic knowledge, understanding, and concepts in the subject matter of health education to create opportunities for student development and practice of skills that contribute to good health. Candidates will also know, understand, and use human movement and physical activity as central elements to foster active, healthy life styles and enhanced quality of life. The course will orient candidates to the interrelationships and connections between health and physical education. This is an advanced standing course that may count toward both, baccalaureate and master’s degrees. Pre-requisite(s): None. Co-requisite(s): None. 2 quarter hours
