5.4. Course-Failure

Students will be given the opportunity to remediate a maximum of two failed courses during the 25-month program. One may be used during the didactic year, and one may be used during the clinical year. The following constitutes a course failure:

  • Didactic course (overall performance < 77% in a course, failure of retake of CAT, >1 CAT failure)
  • Clinical course (Clerkship preceptor failure, failure of retake of end-of-clerkship exam, >1 end-of-clerkship exam failure)

A student who fails a course remediation, CAT retake, or end-of-rotation exam retake, or who fails a second course within either the didactic or clinical year may be dismissed from the Program regardless of overall GPA.
