5.6. Dismissal

Students are subject to dismissal from the program if any one of the following criteria applies:

• Failure to attain a GPA of 3.0 after one semester on probation for a GPA below 3.0.
• Failure of a third course (regardless of whether the first two failed courses were remediated or repeated) at any time during matriculation in the program.
• Failure to successfully complete any of the following required competency examinations: end of first year (preclinical) summative written, end of first year (preclinical)  practical examination, end of second year summative written or end of second year practical examination.
• Is recommended for dismissal by the Student Development Committee related to the specifics of one or more Notifications of Concern.
• Demonstrates behavior that has been determined by the Student Development Committee to be overtly illegal and/or unethical.
